the many ways to help

Here at Best Beginnings we are enormously proud of what we’ve achieved in a staggeringly short timeframe: from creating a free DVD for every pregnant woman in the UK, to taking a touring art exhibition around Britain, to making a real difference at parliamentary level. These are all big projects and many of our supporters understandably make the assumption that we are a large, well-resourced charity. The truth is that we are a small committed team of just three members of staff. We have only been able to succeed in our projects to date thanks to funding and support from some truly committed individuals, organisations and charitable trusts.

help us support the families of Britain's most vulnerable babies

We understand that most of us have to tighten our belts at the moment, but take a moment to think if you can you spare as little as £3, the price of a coffee and cake, just once a month? Or £9 a month to represent the nine out of ten women who say they gave up breastfeeding before they wanted to? Whatever you can give will help. Go to www.justgiving.com/bestbeginnings/donate and select "monthly" from the drop down box to pledge whatever you can each month or click here to download a Standing Order form.

Regular giving provides stability and security for Best Beginnings and will ensure that we continue to make a difference to the lives of all Britain’s babies.

You can also help raise vital funds by taking part in a sponsored event, shopping with our two partners: Barefoot Books and Yellow Moon (don't forget to enter the code "WBE03340" at the Yellow Moon checkout to ensure that Best Beginnings gets up to 25% cashback on purchases) or contacting us to see how you can help by volunteering your time or expertise (email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. premature baby

If 4600 people like you were to pledge us just £9 per month over the next year, we would reach our target of £500,000 for our First Steps Appeal, enabling us to meet our operating and project costs and produce the next DVD aimed at empowering parents of Britain’s sickest and tiniest babies.
